Chinese carbon bicycle industrial tour: how a carbon rim made?

Carbon bike caught people's eyes many decades ago, but ride a carbon bike in real started at 2007 only when the carbon frame went into mass production in China, so it took almost 25 years for people to make a light weight, stiff, safe enough and with acceptable cost carbon frame. And now carbon handlebar, stem, seat post, saddle etc are mostly well made and widely used by bike lovers. Extreme light carbon components like a frame in 650 gram, a pair of high profile wheels weight less than 1000 gram... many fantastic things happened, which you can never imagine at 25 years ago.

UCI also made strictly safety standards on carbon components after trying and testing by years, which is really a good news because people always find a way work out when they know what they are heading to! So, the best benefits may be: you can now receive a pretty professional made carbon frame at much less cost than a branded alloy frame if you buy directly from a small manufacturer or trader on Alibaba in one week!  So the carbon bike is moving forward to normal people's life even you are not a bike lover. Maybe 5 years later, you can buy a complete carbon bike in 5kg at $500 for daily use, not just for racing!

However, carbon wheels nowadays are still with a high price tag. Similar high as carbon frame at 2007. US or French/Italian made carbon wheels normally at $3000/pair, Taiwan made selling at $2000/pair, new local brand Chinese made sell at $1300/pair, and Chinese no brand sell at $500/pair. But still all kind of wheel problems you can see everywhere, no matter the most expensive or cheap carbon wheels... why?
